【Oshino Hakkai】
Oshino Hakkai, which means "eight seas," refers to eight ponds: Waku-ike, Nigori-ike, Kagami-ike, Choshi-ike, Shobu-ike, Sokonashi-ike, Okama-ike, and Deguchi-ike. All of these ponds are fed by the clear, natural spring water from Mount Fuji. The water in these ponds comes from the accumulated snow and rainwater that falls on the highlands of Mount Fuji. After being filtered through the mountain over many years, sometimes even exceeding 20 years, the water accumulates underground. As a result, the water is crystal clear, which is the most significant feature of Oshino Hakkai.

【Lake Yamanaka】
Lake Yamanaka (with a circumference of 13 kilometers) is the easternmost and highest of the Fuji Five Lakes. It is the third-highest lake in Japan and has long been known as a summer resort. From Lake Yamanaka, one can see Mount Fuji with its long, sweeping ridges on both sides, giving it a feminine and charming appearance.
Halfway along the prefectural road from Lake Yamanaka to Mikuni Pass, there is an observation deck where visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Lake Yamanaka and Mount Fuji.
