Shirogane Hotspring is located in the southeastern part of Biei Town, where hills are scattered in a mosaic pattern, and the foothills of the Tokachi-dake mountain range can be seen. In 1950, hot spring water gushed out, and precious platinum was discovered in the hot spring mud, so it was named Shirogane Hotspring. On the road to Shirogane Hotspring, there is a 4km stretch of white birch trees, which is called "White Birch Avenue." This place is also famous as a base for climbing Mount Tokachi, Mount Biei, and Mount Biei Fuji, and is popular among many hikers.

The Furano area is rich in tourism resources and is a must-visit spot for every traveler to Hokkaido. Along with the Biei area, it can be said to be representative of Hokkaido's summer impression. In addition to the lavender fields that make tourists linger, the eight scenic spots of Furano are also stunning. In recent years, the roller coaster road has also attracted attention. It was once used as a filming location for the TV drama "Gentle Times". The magnificent view of the 2.5-kilometer straight road extending all the way to the sky looks just like riding a roller coaster.
【Chubetsu River Bicycle Lane】
The 15.2-kilometer bicycle Lane extends along the left bank of the Chubetsu River. Cyclists are greeted by the magnificent view of the Daisetsuzan mountain range, the trickling waters of the Chubetsu River, pastoral landscapes reminiscent of country estates, and colorful scenery such as white birch forests. Additionally, on the four bridges encountered along the way, very special sculptures can be seen.
【Asahigawa Summer Matsuri Fireworks Festival】
The Doshin Noryo Fireworks Festival, held on the banks of the Ishikari River near the Asahi Bridge, is the grandest fireworks festival in Hokkaido. Over 5,000 fireworks are launched, including the massive "No. 10" fireworks. The reflections on the surface of the Ishikari River decorate Asahikawa City in a colorful and dazzling display. On the day of the festival, there will also be performances by the Japan Self-Defense Forces' Second Band and the Hokkaido Mikoshi Taiko drummers. The summer night, with music intertwined with fireworks, is a unique summer festival experience.

This hill was named in the 1980s when it was used as a promotional landscape for MILD SEVEN cigarettes. The notable feature is a row of windbreak trees (larch trees) lined up on the slope of a wheat field. Additionally, the hill's charm lies in its varying scenery throughout the four seasons. In spring, there is fresh greenery; in summer, there are lavender and white potato flowers; in autumn, there are golden wheat fields; and in winter, there is a whole landscape of snow, offering a rich and diverse scenery.
【The Sun Kurando】
Located next to Kaguraoka Park in the southern part of Asahikawa, "The Sun Kurando Western Confectionery Store" has a warehouse-like exterior. The most popular sweets are the "brown sugar buns" filled with red bean paste and the round, elongated "Namiki cakes" with a white, bark-like outer layer. The store mostly uses ingredients produced in Hokkaido, such as milk, red beans, and beet sugar, ensuring that the confections are absolutely fresh and sweet without being overly rich. However, due to the lack of preservatives, the shelf life is short. If Taiwanese tourists wish to purchase souvenirs, the store provides packaging boxes with dry ice.

【Otokoyama Sake Brewery】
Approximately 300 years ago, during the Kanbun era of Japan (1661-1673), sake brewing began in the Itami area of Otokoyama and continues to this day. Inheriting the brilliant achievements and traditions of Japanese culture, the famous sake is made using water from the Daisetsuzan Mountains and the cold climate suitable for brewing sake, resulting in the local chilled and mellow famous sake. The water from the Daisetsuzan Mountains has long been known as "water of longevity," and travelers can freely taste it here.

Asahikawa Zoo, located in the heart of Hokkaido. Established in 1937, it is the northernmost zoo in Japan and is home to over 150 species of animals from around the world, including polar bears, penguins, and the famous Hokkaido brown bears.
One of the zoo's most popular attractions is the Penguin Walk, where visitors can get up close and personal with adorable penguins as they waddle along a specially designed path. Another highlight is the Polar Bear House, which features a unique underwater viewing tunnel that allows visitors to observe these majestic creatures swimming and playing in their natural habitat.
【Asahigawa Summer Matsuri】
The Asahikawa Summer Festival is a brand new summer music festival that was established in 1991. Initially, it was created to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the development of the Asahikawa region. Since then, the festival has been held regularly every August. The main features of the festival include dancing, large drums, and a parade of floats. Each year, the participating teams make different variations to compete with one another.

This is the most frequently featured place in Hokkaido's scenic postcards. Apart from the beautiful rainbow flower fields in summer, lavender in greenhouses can also be enjoyed in autumn and winter.
