How to arrange transportation to and from the Hualian/Eastern Taiwan Cycling Tour?

Transportation to the Eastern Taiwan is sometimes difficult. If time permits, we recommend arriving one day before the tour starts. The transportation is usually by train; group reservation will not be available because usually group members have different travel plans and are arriving from all over the world. We suggest booking online on the Taiwan Railway Administration Website 28 days before the start of the tour.
Tips for buying tickets: When the non-stop train from Taipei to Hualien is not available; you can instead book tickets in sections, for example, Taipei-Jiaoxi-Hualien. Or unable to buy the ticket you need, you can simply revisit the website one or two days after, there maybe tickets available then.
