  • 2014/09/05 New Glory 27.5 Gets Glowing Reviews!

After two years of development and prototype testing with the Giant Factory Off-Road Team at international downhill races around the world, Giant unveiled the new Glory 27.5 downhill bike last month at a global product launch in British Columbia. Mountain bike editors from around the world were invited to Canada to learn about the 2015 Glory 27.5 and then test ride it on some of the world’s best DH trails at the world-famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park. Over the past few weeks, media coverage and first-ride impressions have been appearing in online and print publications around the world. “The new Glory proved to be shockingly maneuverable—a reality that could be partially attributable to the fact that the aluminum package weighs in at a shockingly light 35 pounds,” reported Bike magazine. “This is notable, especially considering that some companies’ carbon DH bikes weigh significantly more.” And pinkbike.com had this to say about the new DH bike: “The Glory has the type of planted, stable manners you’d want from a downhill bike, while at the same time requiring little effort to manual or push hard into corners. I never felt like I was missing out by not having 26” wheels. Blasting into berms or doubling up sections of trail was just as fun, and made it easy to see how this bike could excel everywhere from the World Cup circuit to the bike park.” To learn more about the new Glory 27.5, and to see first ride impressions from various test editors around the world, check out these links: Bike Magazine Bike MTB Magazine BikeRadar BikeBoard Flow MTB Montenbaik Mountain Bike Action Mountain Flyer Magazine MTB Mag NSMB PinkBike Vital MTB

  • 2014/09/04 New Reign 27.5 Range Scores Big in First-Ride Reviews!

Last month Giant unveiled its all-new range of Reign 27.5 off-road bikes, giving mountain bike editors from around the world a chance to learn about and test ride both composite and aluminum frame versions of the new enduro/trail machines. A few select media members had the opportunity to ride the new Reign 27.5 bikes at a launch in Pemberton, British Columbia, and the positive reviews have been hitting online and print publications over the past few weeks. “The first thing that struck us about the Reign is how light it feels for something so plush and slack,” wrote Andrew Dodd of BikeRadar.com. “The Reign is a competitive bike, and with both alloy and carbon models available, it’s a surefire winner for many riders.” Flow Mountain Bike from Australia had this to say after riding the Reign 27.5 models in Pemberton: “Giant has just re-birthed their much loved Reign, and it’s a meaner beast than ever, a genetically enhanced freak of all-mountain awesomeness. But what does it ride like? That’s the big question. As an executive summary — it’s really good.” To learn more about the new Reign range, and to see first ride impressions from various test editors around the world, check out these links: Bike Magazine Bike MTB Magazine BikeRadar BikeBoard Flow MTB MBR Montenbaik Mountain Bike Action Mountain Flyer Magazine MTB Mag NSMB PinkBike Vital MTB
